Islay Celtic Craft Shop can be found the top of the Main Street and is close to the Round Church and next to the Post Office.

This is a shop that should not be missed by the visitor, as a personal recommendation I shop here for gifts myself for my family and friends.

The owner, Mairi Clark, is usually in the shop working on her own paintings and crafts as well as serving the customers.

Mairi and her partner are both talented artists in their own right and many of the items on display are hand made including these swords. There are also traditional axes and spears.

Mairi makes original paintings, works with leather, decorates plates and bottles.

There are items of celtic jewellery and ceramics made locally and nationally, for such a small shop the stock is extremely impressive.

But perhaps the most impressive thing is the range of work produced by Mairi herself. The picture of the wall here represents some of her tile work, leather work and wooden plaques.

There are also two spears produced by her partner.

Mairi has not got an e-mail address yet but if you have an inquiry you can phone the shop or e-mail to me I will get your query to her as soon as I can.
