Sunday 6 April 2003

OK, so I was not coming back until the bluebells, but it kind of happened. I was passing with my girls and the sun and the call of the rope swing was too much.

The old willow friend of mine has started putting out his catkins and the primroses are in full bloom. These primrose are nearby in the woods at Ballygrant.

But as you can see the daffodils are dying back and only a few are showing now.

Looking over the meadow I feel a slight sense of loss at the daffodils but this is tempered by the bursting of the leaves. The tress of the estate are a mixture of evergreen and deciduous and are now bursting their buds.

And I could not resist a walk down to the river to get this picture of the river.

We lay down on our backs and looked up at the sky, so blue through the trees this time.

And finally here is the hirsute me, in my painting trousers and shades. Not sure at all about the whiskers but we will see how they develop.
