The Calmac Timetable for the Winter of 2003 and Spring 2004

19 October 2003 – 1 April 2004

The winter Calmac timetable is fairly simple compared to the summer. The the Calmac version for printing is here.

The journey time between Kennacraig and Port Ellen is two hours and fifteen minutes; the journey time between Kennacraig and Port Askaig is two hours.

Vehicles must be at Kennacraig and Port Ellen 30 minutes before sailing and at Port Askaig 45 minutes before sailing. Foot passengers must be aboard 10 minutes before sailing.

Have your tickets handy as they will be collected as you drive or walk onto the ferry.

Warning for foot passengers planning to travel onward by bus: on this timetable there is not always a bus to meet the ferry, either on Islay or at Kennacraig. I have marked the ferries that have onward bus connections to Glasgow and Islay destinations that I am sure of, to be sure of your connection check the Citylink site for the Glasgow bus and telephone the Islay tourist information office (01496 810254) for the Islay buses. The Islay bus timetable.
